A lady who plays the violin in church once taught me a song and the song says....Make new friends, but keep the old; One is silver but the other is GOLD.

Yep, thats right. In life we go around meeting new people, and sometimes we tend to forget about the old friends, but in reality they are the strong stones that made us who we are today. And yes, thats right, thats what you are to me, a piece of gold that has been polished and cherished once and sometimes even melted and turned into something else. But guess what, at the end your still the piece of gold I once held in my hands.

 

No matter where life takes us, no matter how many new friends we make, no matter how many strangers we turn into friends,

it is those old ones that makes us feel at home and comfortable.

With an old friend we don't have to say a word for him to understand what we mean or what we want, just by a blink of one eye the old friend knows what we want and think. With a new friend we always have to tell the whole story. The old friend played a role in the story and was part of the story and there for knows the story... 

 

Years may pass and you may not see the old friend for some time, but when you finally meet again, it is as if yesterday you last spoke to eachother. And it is all the prove that indeed you're a piece of gold.
